Working with Korea's beauty industry
Most people arrive knowing Korea matters and not knowing who matters in Korea. That is the whole problem, and it is not one you can solve from a list of manufacturers.
What makes it hard
Finding a Korean manufacturer takes an afternoon. Finding one that will take your brand seriously at your volume, and tell you the truth about your formula and your timeline, is a different task.
From outside, every factory looks equally capable and every distributor looks equally connected. The difference is visible only from inside the industry, and no one inside has any reason to explain it to a stranger.
How I work on this
I do not start with a database. I start with an hour of questions about what you have already built — your formula, your price, your volume, your market, and what you are actually trying to buy from Korea.
Then I bring in someone from inside. For beauty that is an executive of a listed Korean cosmetics manufacturer, who can tell you in one conversation what kind of partner your brand should be looking for, and what a Korean manufacturer will want to see before they take you seriously.
That conversation usually changes the list. People arrive wanting to meet the biggest names and leave knowing which mid-sized house actually wants their category. From there the meetings are worth arranging — manufacturers, distributors, retail, and the professional services you will need if it goes anywhere.
I sit in those rooms with you, with an interpreter, and I stay reachable afterwards. What happens after the introduction is usually where these things fall apart.
For
Brand owners with a product and no factory. Brands already manufacturing elsewhere who want to compare Korea honestly. Distributors and retailers looking for what is next, not what is already exported. Investors who need to understand the industry before they price it.
Where the line is
The people I bring in join in a personal capacity. They are not their company's sales channel, and nothing is signed at the table. If a real manufacturing discussion follows, that is a good outcome — but it happens afterwards, between you and them.
Start
Tell me what you have built and what you need Korea for. I will tell you plainly whether I am the right person for it.
